Each service or home is staffed twenty (24) hours with quality, annually trained staff, who go through more than thirty-one (31) hours of training prior to working with any individual. There is a full time house supervisor position at each home. This individual is responsible for the daily activity of the home and report directly to the QMRPs (Qualified Mental Retardation Professional) in the corporate office. QMRPs are individuals who have the appropriate college education and work experience to supervise the provision of care. A QMRP is designated to oversee the care provided in a specified geographical region. Programming and staffing are monitored by two (2) QMRPs who report to the President on a daily basis. Staff training includes two and one-half (2 1/2) days of office training and a 15-hour orientation to the home. Training continues through the first 60 days of employment as well as on an as-needed basis and annually for all employees. Training covers numerous topics including job descriptions, care policies, regulations, emergency procedures, and more. A full time nurse is on staff and monitors medications, medical concerns, and medical appointments. |
